Jack and Rebel, the Police Dog by Patricia Finney.

Read about Jack the dog adventures. In this book, he has a “new” best friend, Rebel, a police dog! He licked Jack hurties when he got behind the wheel of Pack Leader´s car (Did you ever see a big dog drive a car?) and made a big CRASH into a tree. As it turns out, we´re old friends from our puppy days. What a fun reunion! Almost as much fun as STEAK!!
